This Privacy Policy explains how Tarabtronic collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our website, submit a demo, join the Talent Pool or take part in our Discord community.
Tarabtronic is the independent electronic music label and Talent Pool brand (“Tarabtronic”, “we”, “us”). Tarabtronic is the controller responsible for the personal information described here. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and how we protect it when you visit tarabtronic.com, submit a demo, use the Tarabtronic Talent Pool, join our Discord community or contact us. Your artist or project name, full name, email address, country, track title, genre, streaming or download link, any audio file you upload, social media links, your message, and your confirmations that you own the rights to the music and accept this policy. We also record the date, time, page and IP address of each submission. Private demo submissions are separate from public Talent Pool posts. For supported demo checks, we send AudD a URL through which it can access the submitted audio and compare samples with its recognition database. The URL, filename or audio metadata may identify you or other contributors. Recognition records can include matching artist names, track titles, links and other results. Submission details and screening results may be held in internal records and emails used to handle your demo. A match is a signal for human review, not proof of infringement or ownership. No match, an error or an unavailable check does not establish permission or legal clearance.
Your artist name, profile name, email address, password (stored as a password hash rather than a readable password), country and your declaration that you are at least 21 and legally able to agree to our terms, together with the time and policy version accepted. This is a declaration, not government identity or age verification. If you join or log in with Google or Discord, that service shares your name, your account ID with that service and, where available, your email address and whether it is confirmed. We never receive your password for those services. If you ask for an email login link, we store a one-time code that expires after 15 minutes or once it is used. You can also add a profile picture, banner, bio, gear, favourite genres and links to your website and social profiles.
The tracks you add (SoundCloud link, title, artwork, genre, description and remix credit), your likes, comments, comment likes, follows, reports, removal requests and contest entries, with the date and time. Your profile (artist name, profile name, picture, banner, bio, country, gear, genres and links), your approved public tracks, your comments, the tracks you like and the artists you follow are shown publicly. Your email address is never shown publicly.
When you use the Tarabtronic app’s commands in our Discord server, Discord sends us your Discord user ID, username, the server and channel, and what you entered in the command. We use this only to answer you and to keep short-lived counters that stop spam. We do not store ordinary commands. The app cannot read other messages, direct messages or voice chats. If you logged in to the Talent Pool with Discord, the /me command uses your Discord user ID to show your own stats, only to you.
If you send a report with /report or Report message, we store your Discord username and user ID, what you wrote and, for a reported message, its text, author and link. Reports go to our moderation team by email and to a private staff channel.
Your name, email address, the subject you choose, your message, the date, time, page and IP address of the submission, and anything you include when you email us.
To stop spam, fraud and fake likes we keep limited technical data, such as a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for short-term rate limits, the time your account was created and records of reports and moderation actions. Our anti-spam service may check comments and form messages for spam. If our bot check from Cloudflare Turnstile is switched on, Cloudflare processes technical data about your browser to tell people from bots.
Like most websites, our servers and analytics tools record information such as your IP address, browser type, device, approximate location based on IP, pages visited, the date and time of your visit and how you arrived at our website. Optional analytics may be introduced only with an appropriate privacy notice and any consent required for the technology used. See our Cookie Policy for details.
We do not send marketing newsletters unless you have clearly agreed to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on: your consent (for optional marketing or non-essential technologies where consent is required; reading or acknowledging this policy is not consent to every use of data), performance of our agreement with you (to run requested account features and take steps you request before a possible release agreement), our legitimate interests (to protect the community, prevent abuse, review submitted music and handle rights concerns, where necessary and balanced against your rights), and legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing that already happened.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to withdraw your consent. You can:
If you logged in with Google or Discord, deleting your Talent Pool account also deletes the information we received from that service. You can also remove our access in that service’s settings: in Discord under User Settings, Authorised Apps; in Google under your account’s third-party connections. To delete a report you sent through Discord, email community@tarabtronic.com with your Discord username.
If you are not happy with how we handled your request, please contact us first. You may also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live.
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, keep our website secure, remember your choices and, with analytics, understand how our website is used. Read our Cookie Policy to learn more and how to control them.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, limited staff access, spam and abuse protection, and regular backups. No website or internet transmission is completely secure. If we become aware of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will act quickly to contain it and inform you and the relevant authorities where the law requires. Accounts, music submissions, contests and our Discord community are limited to people aged 21 or older who can legally agree to our terms. We do not currently offer participation through parental or guardian permission. If you believe someone under 21 has registered or submitted personal information, email privacy@tarabtronic.com so we can restrict participation and arrange appropriate deletion, subject to any necessary legal or security records.
Tarabtronic works with artists and listeners worldwide. Our hosting, email, recognition, security and platform providers may process information in countries outside your home country, including outside the EEA or UK. Privacy protections can differ between countries. AudD checks involve sending a retrievable audio URL to that provider; do not include unnecessary personal or confidential information in filenames, metadata or submission messages. Contact privacy@tarabtronic.com to request information about the providers, processing locations and transfer arrangements relevant to your submission. This policy does not itself establish a transfer safeguard or replace any agreement or measure required by applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated. If we make important changes, we will tell Talent Pool members by email or on the website.
