1. Our commitment

Tarabtronic is a record label, and protecting the work of artists is at the heart of what we do. We respect copyright and related rights, and we expect everyone who uses tarabtronic.com, the Tarabtronic Talent Pool and our Discord community to do the same. This policy explains how to report content you believe infringes your rights, what happens next, and how to respond if your content was removed.

2. What you can share

• Only share material you own or are authorised to use through the relevant Tarabtronic service. For remixes, edits, mashups and other adaptations, retain written permission or licence terms covering the intended use, including public streaming where applicable. Name the original artist and other contributors as required by the licence. Credit alone does not replace permission.
• Check the permissions for recordings, compositions, vocals, samples, loops and artwork. A royalty-free licence can still impose limits; it must cover your intended use. Permission to enter a remix competition does not automatically permit release or use outside that competition.
• Do not share leaks, rips, bootlegs you do not have permission for, pirated samples, cracked software or anyone else’s artwork, photos or videos.
• Uploading a track to SoundCloud or buying it does not give you the right to share someone else’s music as your own.

Rights holders can ask us to remove a remix of their work at any time, even if the original artist is credited.

3. How to report copyright infringement

If you own the rights to a work, or are authorised to act for the owner, and believe it is used on our services without permission, you can report it:

• Talent Pool track or comment: use the report button on the track page and choose “Uses my music without permission” or “The uploader is not the artist”.
• Anything else (our website, releases, Discord or social channels): email copyright@tarabtronic.com.

To help us act quickly, please include:

1. Your full name, the name of the rights owner if you act for someone else, and your email address.
2. A description of the copyrighted work, with a link to the original if possible.
3. The exact link (URL) to each item you want removed, or for Discord, the channel and a message link.
4. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights owner, its agent or the law.
5. A statement that the information in your report is accurate and that you are the rights owner or authorised to act for them.
6. Your typed full name as a signature.

4. What happens next

• We review reports and may request clarification or supporting rights information. We may restrict access while a rights concern is reviewed and act as required by applicable law.
• Where appropriate, we notify the submitting user and share the information needed for a response. Reports and appeals are not anonymous to the other party in every case. Do not include unrelated sensitive documents.
• An incomplete report may require follow-up; clearly identified concerns can still be assessed using the information available.
• Removing a Talent Pool listing does not remove the recording from SoundCloud or another independent host. Those platforms have their own reporting procedures.

5. If your content was removed

If you believe a restriction was mistaken, email copyright@tarabtronic.com or reply to the notice you received. Include your name, contact email, the affected URL, why you disagree, and any relevant permission or licence evidence. Confirm that your explanation is accurate and submitted in good faith.

We consider the information and may ask for clarification. Relevant details may be shared with the reporting party so they can respond. A restriction may remain where required by law or while a rights concern remains unresolved. Our review does not determine copyright ownership or replace a court decision.

This is an internal review process. A statutory notice or counter-notice procedure, where applicable, may require additional information and specific deadlines; applicable legal requirements take precedence. An ordinary appeal does not by itself satisfy every jurisdiction’s statutory counter-notice requirements.

6. Repeat infringers

We take repeated infringement seriously. Accounts that receive repeated valid copyright complaints may be suspended or permanently closed, and may lose access to the Talent Pool, contests and our Discord server. We may also act straight away in serious cases, such as uploading leaked or pirated music.

7. False or abusive reports

Only send a report if you own the rights or are authorised to act for the owner. Knowingly sending false or misleading reports or counter-notices can harm other artists and may lead to legal liability. We may ignore reports that are abusive or clearly unfounded, and close accounts that misuse the reporting system.

8. Demo submissions and audio matching

Private demos are separate from public Talent Pool submissions. Sending a demo does not transfer ownership of your music or create a release or distribution agreement. People handling the demo and necessary hosting, email and audio-recognition providers process it as described in our Privacy Policy.

We use AudD for supported audio checks. A match can involve a licensed sample, an authorised remix or an artist’s own released recording. It is a signal for human review, not proof of infringement or ownership. No match does not establish originality, permission or legal clearance. An error or an unscanned link is not a passed check. AudD flags do not themselves delete or reject submissions.

Music may be developed independently; similarity alone does not establish that a submitted demo was used. For a specific concern, contact demos@tarabtronic.com with the relevant information.

9. Using Tarabtronic music and content

Our releases, name, logo, artwork and website content are protected. Where permission is required to use Tarabtronic music in a video, film, game, advert, event or other project, contact licensing@tarabtronic.com for a licence. Do not re-upload our releases or use our name or logo in a way that suggests you are part of, or endorsed by, Tarabtronic. To report someone misusing Tarabtronic content, email copyright@tarabtronic.com.
